Toyota Land Cruiser comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission specially designed to handle high torque while walking. Fourth gear is direct drive, and gears both the fifth and sixth are overdrive ratios. Transmission control unit estimates road conditions to select the appropriate gear ratio for the vehicle speed and driving conditions. A sequential shift mode allows the driver to select gears manually.
